Blogging Challenge Day 17

17. Your highs and lows of this past year

I see that as time progresses these questions get more and more in depth. lol. But because we are barely three months into this year I am choosing to do the highs and lows of 2012.

I went to SXSW

SXSW 2012 was my first time shooting something over the period of one week, in a completely different city and state. It was definitely eye opening to see high profile celebrities just walking around like normal everyday people. It showed me how much progress I had made up to that point, and how much more progress and work is needed to get to exactly where I wanna go.

I toured with Jon Connor and Big Krit

Again, this was definitely a learning experience. I learned alot about the music and entertainment industry from people who are actually in the entertainment industry.

Now let’s explore the lows.

Epiphanies are the best worst things in the world.

I think my lowest point of last year was having to learning the difference between business and friends and doing business WITH friends. I get emotional when business deals go sour. I didn’t understand why if I stopped doing business with someone that the friendship had to end as well. But I had to learn that what brings a person into your life will be the same thing that takes a person out of your life. Like, if I was a rapper, and I had a team of rappers, then later on in life I decided to stop rapping, that certain group of people would more than likely stop being my friends, not negatively, it’s just that the one thing that we had in common, is no more.

November sucks

November was the worst month of my year, it was the anniversary of my mother’s death along with a slew of other shit that occurred that I don’t really want to get into… but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger right?
